Sunsells Energy develops, builds and operates agri-PV ground-mounted photovoltaic systems as well as classic ground-mounted systems in combination with agri-PV.

From the initial idea to the final realisation, we bring comprehensive expertise to project development. We take care of every step - starting with the search for sites and obtaining all the necessary permits, through technical planning and grid connection, to the construction of turnkey systems in collaboration with our EPC partner companies. We also take care of the intelligent marketing of the electricity, be it through storage solutions, the connection to electromobility directly at our PV systems without transit fees, the conclusion of dPPA and PPA contracts or trading on the European electricity spot markets.

Our highly qualified team consists of experts with extensive experience in plant construction. We manage every phase of the EPC process with routine and flexibility, not only to ensure the sustainable quality of the systems, but also to make a long-lasting and reliable contribution to green power generation and the success of the energy transition.

Most of the Agri-PV and FFPV systems developed and built by us will remain in the company's portfolio. We see ourselves as a solar power plant company that owns and operates them, thus covering the entire value chain.

Agri PV is close to our hearts because it represents the best possible combination of renewable energies and productive, sustainable agriculture, which in its symbiotic relationship comes to one plus one equals three.

Partner to farmers

In the special market segment of agri-PV, we see ourselves as symbiotic co-operation partners and promoters of farmers. This not only in the planning and realisation phase of the PV systems with joint development of an individual agricultural utilisation concept. Rather, we accompany the farmers on a long-term basis over the entire term of the agri-PV systems to jointly realise our respective goals.

Agri-PV in Spain and Germany

Our headquarters are located in Palma de Mallorca, but our focus markets are both Spain and Germany. Both countries offer a good political and infrastructural basis for Agri-PV Each country has its advantages - in Spain, of course, the sun shines much more and some energy policy solutions are more progressive than in Germany. Germany is one of the pioneer markets in the PV sector, where many things began and is therefore often more easily accepted today, especially by the population. Agri-PV is usually more strongly regulated, but also subsidised by several governments than in Spain.

However, Agri-PV is helping to alleviate the growing basic problem of agriculture in many regions in Spain in particular - soils that are too dry, increasingly poor harvests - through shading technologies and water treatment from salt water for agricultural fields with the help of solar technology, while at the same time producing sustainable electricity that benefits everyone.
